The Empowering Growth Small Business Grant is representative of M&F Bank's commitment to supporting the small businesses in our markets. We believe that by empowering small business owners to achieve their goals, we can help create strong local economies, communities, and individuals.
We invite current M&F Bank business customers with a business that operates within Forsyth County to apply for the $10,000 Empowering Growth Small Business Grant.
The grant must be used in a manner that supports the business. To be considered the business listed in the application must operate in Forsyth County and the following criteria must be met:
Criteria:
- Your business must have gross revenues of $500,000 or less
- You must have been in business for five (5) years or less as of January 31, 2025
- The business entity listed in the application must have been an M&F Bank customer since January 31, 2023 or earlier
- Your small business must have ten (10) employees or less, including yourself
- Your business must have a website
- Your M&F Bank business account(s) must be in good standing
- Your business must not have been a previous recipient of the Empowering Growth Small Business Grant
*Only one application per business owner will be considered. Business owners with multiple businesses should submit only one (1) application for the entity you would like considered for the award.
*Non-profits, churches, real estate investment firms, and businesses that have a vendor relationship with M&F Bank are not eligible to be considered for the award. Current M&F Bank employees, board members, advisory board members or their relatives are not eligible to be considered for the award.
Guidelines
The purpose of the request must be consistent with one of M&F Bank’s priorities. Please note, M&F Bank does not make contributions to:
- Individuals (as opposed to recognized organizations)
- Entities that operate wholly outside of our geographic sphere of influence
- Events that are purely social in nature
- Unions
- Political organizations or political candidates
- Organizations supported by an entity to which the Bank already contributes
- Auxiliary groups supporting an organization that already has received a contribution from the Bank in the same year
